Route 1

Having a healthy lifestyle is very important to youths due to the fact that they are still in the process of growing up.  As such, the youths need more exercise to keep them healthy in the long run.  Here is an interesting sport that you and your friends can do!

Nature walk (Bukit Timah, MacRitchie reservoir, etc…)
Imagine being surrounded by fauna and flora, the cacophony of wildlife chiming in your ears. Not only does it soothes the mind and body, it benefits the respiratory system as the lush trees continues to pump out fresh oxygen.

Nature walk has long been the favorite activity of many trying to de-stress. After a long day of study or work, you can bring your friends along to the different parks in Singapore to enjoy the nature walk. Places include Bukit Timah, Hort Park, Tampines eco green and even the Botanic gardens. Be sure to pack in a bottle of water to start the journey. Water helps to keep you hydrated throughout the walk.

Nowadays, youths are into photography thus it is a good time to take some shots of nature’s beauty. Stunning critters live around these areas, allowing the youths to take a snapshot and share through social media.

With breathtaking scenery and an enjoyable walk, this is a sport not to be missed.
Cheers!

Break dancing! Our first attraction!

For the first blog post. We would like to introduce a famous sport mostly enjoyed by youths worldwide. And this is known as Break Dancing in other words BBoy and BGirl. Break dancing is a form of art in which moves from aerobatic and martial arts are integrated to make dance moves. It is an intensive sport, with emphasis on upper body exercise as it requires lots of upper body strength to do moves like freezes, jack hammer, two thousand and more.

BBoy is a wonderful form of exercise as it really trains up your body and as a dance move, people will not feel that it is like an exercise but as a way to enjoy and express themselves. It is a fun activity and there are places where people can start learning break dancing.

For beginners, Singapore’s Changi Airport would be a nice place to start as there are people break dancing in the vicinity. Another popular hangout is Scape. There are lots of people who go there and break regardless of their expertise. I would really recommend youths who are interested to begin breaking at Scape as you are able to learn a lot from those breakers there and maybe you are able to make some cool moves from watching them. Cheers!
